In 2012, Additional Volunteer Crew Needed
The Priscilla Program is seeking a few more crew members for the upcoming 2012 season. Individuals with sailing or boating experience are being encouraged to apply. Crew members stand helm, lookout, hoist & lower sails and anchor watch as well as other tasks that may be directed by the Captain and Mate. They are also very involved with our passengers.
Sailing crew applicants must be 19 years of age or older and fit enough to handle the significant physical demands of a 19th Century sailing vessel. Sailing an Oyster Sloop is not for everyone and is often more demanding than other vessels.
Sail crews are subject to initial and random USCG drug testing (as are captains).
Volunteer Boat Captains ~ must have a Masters License with Sail Endorsement and are required to train with the crew at length prior to serving as captain on our Public Sails.
All interested parties should contact Captain Mike Caldwell at MCaldwell@limaritime.org
